The Las Vegas chapter of the Ninety-nines invites you to the Southwest / Northwest Joint Section Meeting. The theme for the weekend-long event is LAS VEGAS GLAMOUR! So bring your boas, glitter and best sequins! Nothing is too over the top in our city! - Except VFR ;) After a long year of being unable to attend in person events, we are very excited to host you here in our home city of Las Vegas.  We are taking all necessary precautions per the CDC to make this both a fun and safe event to attend in person. In addition to individual section business meetings, the weekend will consist of the traditional Fly Mart, interesting seminars, opportunities to socialize with friends you haven’t seen in a long while and get out and enjoy what Las Vegas has to offer. The South Point Hotel and Casino is conveniently located just 6 miles south of the Strip. You can get to and from the Strip by car or Uber/Lyft. Tickets for shows have gone on sale again and many other attractions are starting to open up. The Southpoint has agreed to a discounted rate on days either side of our programmed section meeting event so you are welcome to turn this trip into a vacation.

Local Weather Conditions:
Weather in early September is expected to be in the 90s - 100s (degree Fahrenheit). Summer wear, such as short sleeve shirts, sleeveless shirts, and short pants with light fabrics would be most comfortable. It is recommended to wear and reapply sunscreen/sunblock throughout the day when outdoors. Hats and sunglasses will help keep the direct sunlight out of your eyes and protect your face. Las Vegas has a very dry heat desert climate so it is imperative to drink plenty of water!

August 18, 2021 is the last day attendees can book the hotel with discount code. We recommended booking your hotel room prior to this date to take advantage of the discounted rate. If your plans do change, your hotel reservation may be cancelled 72 hours prior to check-in date. Otherwise, fees may apply. Please reconfirm with the hotel when you book your room and you may also refer to your reservation confirmation email.

The hotel does NOT include breakfast.

Flying Your Plane:
- $15 per night parking but one night waived with a 20 gallon fuel purchase

- Designated parking area for 99s Section Meeting attendees will be at the South Ramp. 30 parking spots are available. FBO staff will transport attendees to the FBO facility.
- Fuel discount is TBD.
- Volunteer shuttle service from HND to the hotel will be available by request.
- Hertz, Enterprise and Avis rental car providers are available at HND
- Uber and Lyft can also provide service to/from HND and the hotel.
- Please provide aircraft registration number, estimated date and time of arrival and number of passengers.
 
Transportation: Henderson Executive Airport (KHND) is the host airport. The FBO hours are 0530-2200 daily. There will be a window of time when individual transportation can be arranged to/from HND and the hotel. Volunteers will be available to provide this transportation on Thursday between 0900-1400 and Friday between 0900-1200. Fuel discount at HND is TBC.

The Business Meeting on Saturday morning is free to all 99s members. A live stream may be accessed via zoom for members who cannot attend the meeting in person.

First time attendees...we have a reserved table at Saturday's breakfast just for you! You will be our special guests with the opportunity to meet the Board of Directors and get to know our organization. Please be sure to attend.

Vendors Attention:

In order to hold the Fly Mart, Las Vegas requires our organization to obtain a “multi vendor license”. This license costs $6 per vendor per day ($12 per vendor since the Fly Mart is open for two days). The prices below include the vendor license fee.

Tours & Activities

Since Las Vegas has numerous tours and activities available, the host chapter built in free time during the weekend and encourages you to choose what you'd like to do independently. The Las Vegas chapter will provide a list of recommended activities and applicable discount codes. This list will be posted to this website soon. 

SOLD OUT as of 8/14/2021 Optional Thursday Night Activity:
The Las Vegas chapter has negotiated a group ticket rate for “EXTRAVAGANZA - The Las Vegas Spectacular” on Thursday evening on the Las Vegas Strip in Ballys. Advance booking is recommended because quantity is limited at a group rate of $55.00. Once our inventory is  sold out, this option will no longer be available to purchase, however, you may still purchase regular priced tickets if the box office still has availability. Transportation will not be included.
